Playing an active role in our community
As a law firm, we believe it is important to be active and engaged in our local community, and to contribute our talents and resources where
they can do the most good. We encourage all of our employees to share of themselves, through firm-sponsored projects and individual action,
and help to make this a better and kinder world in which to live.
Here are a few examples of recent community service projects:
Habitat for Humanity Project

Pulley Watson is working with Youth United and Habitat for Humanity of Durham on a dream home build. This Youth United house will be the
12th home completed in Hope Crossings, the first affordable "green" community in Durham. This home is funded by Durham's youth through
school and church youth groups. The Serrano-Otero family will be the proud owners of this home, slated to be complete in May 2008.
The firm is not only making a monetary contribution, but partners and members of the staff will also participate in work days and provide lunch
for the workers.
3rd Annual Christmas for the Troops

Pulley Watson adopted infantry companies from the Army and Marines for the 2007 holiday season. Many of these troops have been deployed for
more than a year, so our goal was to spread some holiday cheer to them in support of their hard work.
The Paratroopers of HHC, 1/540th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division and a company of the 2nd battalion, 8th Marines received
boxes of goods collected by our staff, as well as donations from local Rotary groups, colleagues and residents throughout the Triangle community.
This year our care packages contained a wide range of items, including DVDs, mouthwash and dental supplies, beef jerky, eye drops, games, books,
lip balm, hot sauce, seasoning salt – a varied list, based on the items requested by the troops themselves.
