Airplane Crash

Case Story

The Case:

Lucy found herself as the only passenger on a small plane headed to Beckley, West Virginia. The pilot missed the runway and landed in a snow bank, smashing the landing gear. The plane then slid across the runway into another embankment, leaving Lucy with orthopedic injuries and severe post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Investigation:

For years the airline denied all fault, and would not comment other than to say that it was a pilot error, and that the pilot had been fired. Pulley Watson was not willing to let the matter rest, and continued to investigate the circumstance of the crash. Our attorneys ultimately learned that the pilot had not been fired, but had actually left his job by choice due to his own diagnosis of post-traumatic stress disorder.

The Results:

Once our attorneys were able to present this information, the jury returned a verdict of one and a half million dollars to compensate Lucy for medical bills and suffering.
